Shhh Night, Secret Location 02/06/07

Now this was a mental one. We knew where it was being held (just outside Glasgow) because we had to get our gear to the venue, but all the ticket-holders knew was that they had to be at a central point in Glasgow city centre, at a certain time, to catch a mystery bus.

On boarding it, they were confronted with a number of mute guys in gimp masks, who blindfolded them, then drove at speed round some roundabouts to make sure the pasengers were totally disorientated.

They even marched them into the venue in a three blind mice conga line which, with the orange fabric blindfolds, had a strangely Guantanamo Bay look to it.
Blindfolds off inside, the crowd found cheap drink, more weird guys in costume, haunted toilets and us, happily refreshed by a sumptuous rider of crates of lager AND cider. Overall the atmosphere was great, the other bands were very good, and we all completely enjoyed the night.

Take a chance on a SHHH Night sometime.

Highlight: Finding the cupboard full of fancy dress stuff in the dressing room.
Lowlight: None that I can recall.
